Job Duties:

Measures temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, height and weight; records in patients medical record.

May assist with documenting admission of new patients on medical record.

Provides care to patients such as ambulating, feeding, bathing, positioning and lifting.

May sterilize equipment and supplies.

Distributes clean linen, washes, dries, sorts, folds, and stores patients clothing.

Position-Specific Details:

This position is located in the Nursing Department of the LA Veterans Home inJackson, Louisiana.  

Appointment Type: Full-Time Position

Career Progression:As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as a Nursing Assistant 1 or 2 depending on the level of experience

Work Schedule: Work hours are 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM / 6:00PM to 6:30AM. Alternant weekends.

(CNA 1 Special Entrance Rate) $13.74 & (CNA 2Special Entrance Rate) $ 14.70 hourly (base pay), plus shifts differentials and premium pay of $3.00 per hour worked.
