Overview

Our Instructors provide coaching, technical expertise and encouragement while allowing students structured opportunities to develop their own proficiency.  One should enjoy making connections and building rapport with others in a fast-paced, collaborative, hands-on environment. 

Effective presentation skills are vital in this role, as well as the ability to ensure standards and goals are met in a given timeframe. Therefore, planning and problem-solving skills are both essential for success in this position. The ideal candidate will also act with our students in mind, and establish and maintain effective relationships with students to gain their trust and respect.

Responsibilities

• Inspire and Educate: Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment where students can flourish, fostering their passion for HVACR maintenance while imparting your expert knowledge.
• Hands-On Training: Lead by example and provide practical demonstrations, ensuring students gain real-world experience in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing HVACR systems.
• Curriculum Development: Collaborate with our education team to enhance existing courses and develop new ones that align with industry trends and advancements.
• Mentorship: Guide and mentor students on their individual projects, encouraging them to think critically and find innovative solutions.
• Safety First: Instill the importance of safety procedures and best practices to ensure a secure working environment for students.

• Help students realize their dreams by organizing and delivering class objectives in a clear, concise manner; maintaining an orderly, controlled, and safe environment for our students in classrooms and labs; ensuring training aids, tools, and equipment are maintained and prepared for use in the classroom and lab; supervising and holding students accountable while promoting learning, participation, motivation, and professionalism; testing, evaluating, and communicating performance and progress with students, supervisors, and other departments in a timely and accurate manner; and maintaining curriculum accuracy by keeping up-to-date on the industry.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Education: High school diploma or GED - Minimum, bachelors degree is a plus
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of practical hands-on technical work experience in the motorcycle/powersports industry. A minimum of 8 years is preferred  
• Certifications: Not required but participation in OEM technical recognition programs for Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki, or BMW is preferred
• Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to effectively connect with students and fellow staff
• Patience and Empathy: A patient and empathetic approach to teaching, understanding that every student learns at their own pace
