Responsibilities- Manage and maintain the database landscape hosted on Azure Services, including multiple instances of Microsoft SQL Server operating globally.
- Collaborate with software developers and other stakeholders to ensure the optimal performance, security, availability, and scalability of the database systems.
- Implement and monitor backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies for the database systems.
- Design and develop database schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and indexes.
- Perform database tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting using various tools and techniques.
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies and best practices.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator, preferably with Microsoft SQL Server and Azure Services.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, T-SQL, and database design principles.
- Experience with database performance tuning, optimization, and monitoring tools.
- Experience with database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Experience with data security, encryption, and auditing.
- Experience with cloud-based database services, such as Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure AI Search, etc.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to learn new technologies and tools quickly.
