Test Lead - Automation

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced QA resource based in Chicago with a minimum of 3 years of experience in testing web-responsive applications and validating data. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both manual and automation testing, with a focus on ensuring the quality and functionality of web applications across various devices and platforms. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who is passionate about quality assurance and thrives in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities: Web-Responsive Testing: Conduct thorough testing of web-responsive applications to ensure compatibility across various devices, screen sizes, and browsers. Validate UI/UX consistency and functionality for mobile, tablet, and desktop platforms. Data Validation: Perform end-to-end data validation to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems.

Validate data against business rules and requirements, ensuring alignment with expected outcomes. Manual Testing: Develop, document, and execute detailed test cases, test plans, and test scenarios based on functional requirements. Identify, log, and track defects using defect management tools, ensuring timely resolution.

Automation Testing: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, or similar frameworks). Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and delivery. Collaboration: Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and identify potential risks.

Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Reporting: Prepare and present test reports, metrics, and defect analysis to stakeholders. Provide recommendations for improvements in testing processes and methodologies.
