The Disney Vacation Club (DVC) Labor Specialist will support the DVC Sales channel by providing a strategic focus on various labor components. The Labor Specialist will work in tandem with Sales Coordinators and Leadership to help drive the newly implemented Labor Strategies and operational efficiencies that contribute to revenue results. This role requires prior knowledge of traditional labor management components.

You will report to the Labor Manager.

This is a Full-Time role.

Responsibilities/You Will:
  • Oversee various labor and payroll needs utilizing labor management systems including MY TIME, CDS, SAP, GEMS, and Cast Mobile, etc.   

  • Audit time entry and scheduling practices for a complex Cast base to ensure adherence to California, Hawaii, and Florida labor laws

  • In partnership with the labor managers, ensure leadership staffing levels in and around the Walt Disney sales offices (sales and operations leadership)

  • Oversee schedule creation, schedule maintenance, time reconciliation, and time off requests for both Salaried and Hourly Cast who are spread across Discovery Desks, Sales Centers, and Operations locations around the Aulani Resort while assisting in similar work at the Disneyland® Resort and the Walt Disney World® Resort

  • Oversee daily operational needs by ensuring appropriate staffing levels and daily team movement

  • Provide professional feedback to Cast Members of all levels on Labor compliance items, not limited to time entry, scheduling, staffing, workload, and DVC operational guidelines

  • Provide labor support to Cast through various training methods, including facilitation, 1:1 assistance, and creating/maintaining resources

  • Partner with Industrial Engineering and Labor Manager to develop a sustainable Labor strategy for the Sales Channel by generating and analyzing labor reporting, identifying inefficiencies, and integrating labor management with a sales organization

Basic Qualifications/You Have:
  • 2+ years of Labor/Workforce Management Experience

  • Proven experience with providing accurate and timely information with attention to detail

  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving solving and decision-making skills

  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software applications

  • Strong troubleshooting skills

  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information

  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks

  • Demonstrated strong facilitation, training, and presentation skills

  • Ability to influence peers and partner with different levels of the organization

  • Demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards

  • Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior Disney Experience

  • Knowledge and/or experience in Workforce Management systems (i.e., MY TIME, GEMS, CDS, SAP)

  • Extensive Microsoft Excel experience 

  • Experience in a Sales environment or any other Disney Signature Experiences role

  • Demonstrated experience as a Leader, Coordinator, or Trainer 

  • Proven familiarity with the Disney Vacation Club product 

Education:
  • High school degree or equivalent

The pay rate for this role in Kapolei is $23.15 to $33.29 per hour. The base pay actually offered may vary depending on the candidates geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. Select benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, such as medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
