General Laborer - Forklift

INTERVIEW REQUIRED

Location: Houston, TX 77087Compensation: $18.00 per hour, plus overtimeSchedule: Monday through Friday

Position Summary:General Laborers are responsible for assisting with the production and packaging of recycled plastic materials in a warehouse environment. This role involves filling and handling product bags, operating along an overhead assembly line, and maintaining productivity and safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Fill, seal, and move bags of recycled plastic material.
• Hang product bags on hooks along an overhead conveyor system.
• Maintain consistent production output in line with shift requirements.
• Follow all safety and housekeeping standards.
• Assist with material handling and movement of products throughout the warehouse.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Shifts Available:

• First Shift: 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (1 opening)
• Second Shift: 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. (2 openings)
• Third Shift: 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. (1 opening)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Prior warehouse, manufacturing, or general labor experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a dusty environment.
• Must provide and wear steel-toe boots.
• Background-friendly employer.- (No theft or violence)
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is acceptable but not required.

Job Requirements / Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently during the shift.
• Must have been previously forklift certified (expired withing the last year).
• Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
• Repetitive motion involving arms and shoulders when working with overhead conveyor hooks.
• Must be able to work in varying temperatures and dusty conditions.
• Ability to work overtime as required.
• Reliable transportation to and from the 77087 location.

Work Environment:This position is performed in a warehouse/manufacturing setting with exposure to dust, noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures. Appropriate PPE, including steel-toe boots, is required.
