Position Summary:

The Manager, Plan Documents role is a key contributor within the Retirement Plan Administration team, responsible for drafting and maintaining retirement plan documents and supporting onboarding efforts for new clients. This role combines technical expertise in plan design with consultative client engagement, ensuring that plan documents are accurate, compliant, and aligned with client goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft and amend retirement plan documents (e.g., 401(k), 403(b), profit-sharing, defined benefit plans) in accordance with ERISA and IRS regulations.
  • Participate in onboarding calls with new clients to consult on plan design options and document customization.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Client Services, Compliance, Legal, Operations) to ensure smooth onboarding and accurate plan setup.
  • Utilize PensionPro and FT William software to manage plan documents and compliance workflows.
  • Support regulatory updates and restatement cycles by updating plan templates and documentation.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on plan design and document compliance.
  • Maintain documentation standards and contribute to process improvements.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in retirement plan administration or document services.
  • Strong understanding of qualified retirement plans and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex plan design concepts to clients.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ASPPA or NIPA credentials (e.g., QPA, QKA, QKC, CPC).
  • Experience with onboarding processes and client consulting.
  • Proficiency with PensionPro and FT William platforms.

The base salary range for this position is $63,000 to $103,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
