System Automation Engineer, Cloud Demo Platform

• Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience with GCP.
• Experience with APIs and automation.
• Experience with IT Administration (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Salesforce or others).

• Experience working in a support role.
• Experience with coding solutions.
• Experience with security administration and identity management.
• Experience with training and enablement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and explain concepts to a broader audience.

The Cloud Demo Platform (CDP) team is responsible for ensuring that technical sellers have the appropriate systems they need to demonstrate the value of Google Cloud to customers. We have several internally developed systems that we develop and operate, including go/argolis, go/demos, Enterprise Trials and a hosted version of GitLab. We are a team oriented group that is passionate about our platform and the quality of our work. We utilize Critical User Journey (CUJs) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to ensure that we are prioritizing our work correctly with maximum benefit to our customers.

As a member of the CDP team in the Engineering Excellence group, you will have the opportunity to shape the tools that help Cloud technical sellers (including Partners) demonstrate the value of Google Cloud. The core functionalities are used by thousands of googlers daily. We look to build more advanced features to better support Cloud Sales business objectives and keep them secure.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $138,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. • Set up and manage first and third-party IT environments.
• Research, document, implement Google Cloud Platform (GCP) integration with third-party platforms.
• Build automation solutions that support demo use cases.
• Provide level 2 support for demo infrastructure issues.
• Define and implement how data is managed in demo environments and work with demo engineers on hosting demos.
