Deliver compassionate nursing care as an Overnight LPN (Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities) with our client in Hershey, PA. Provide overnight medical monitoring, administer medications, and support residents in a care setting. Assess needs, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with staff to ensure a safe environment. Ideal for LPNs with SNF or IDD experience who excel in independent overnight roles.
Responsibilities as the Overnight LPN:
- Patient Monitoring & Medication Administration: Conduct overnight assessments, monitor vitals and behaviors, and prepare, administer, and document medications per physician orders.
- Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate nursing records, progress notes, and incident reports in the EMR.
- Emergency Response: Address urgent medical needs promptly, initiate interventions, and contact on-call staff as needed.
- Care Coordination: Work with direct support staff and interdisciplinary teams to follow individualized care plans.
- Safety & Shift Handover: Ensure a clean, safe environment and provide thorough shift reports for continuity of care.
- Licensure: Valid Pennsylvania LPN license in good standing.
- Experience: 1+ years of nursing experience, preferably in SNF or with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Certification: Current CPR/BLS certification required.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in EMR systems and basic computer applications, with strong documentation skills.
- Skills & Attributes: Compassionate, patient-focused, and able to work independently overnight with strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and attention to detail.
- Additional Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older and hold a valid drivers license.
