Overview

Ensure compliance with state laws governing career colleges across all states, along with accreditation standards set by ACCSC and applicable federal regulations (e.g., U.S. Department of Education). Guarantee regulatory compliance across all assigned campuses and the states in which they operate. Collaborates with campuses, state regulators, and key stakeholders at the home office to ensure proper licensure and accreditation for campuses, instructors, admissions representatives, and programs. Develops and maintains state and accreditation compliance training manuals, assisting in crafting effective processes for regulatory adherence.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure regulatory compliance for campus operations and student recruitment in assigned states.

  • Oversee licensing/accreditation processes, including research, documentation, applications, and renewals.

  • Interpret and apply regulations; prepare and audit compliance reports.

  • Serve as primary contact for compliance matters and provide training to staff.

  • Identify process improvements and implement solutions while maintaining compliance.

  • Collaborate with business partners to ensure consistent communication and adherence to requirements

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education / Experience

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent industry experience with demonstrated ability 
  • 3-5 years of experience in higher education or another highly regulated industry
  • Experience working directly with/for internal business partners and executive management.
  • Strong knowledge of state laws, regulations, and accreditation standards for proprietary education.

  • Strong project management and customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to independently prioritize and manage heavy workflow to meet/exceed deadlines.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Ability to effectively adapt to: changes in multiple projects; scheduling/ strict deadlines; various personalities.
  • Advanced computer skills; database management and familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite.
