The Athletics Department at Georgia State University is seeking to hire a Head Spirit Coach.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:
The Head Spirit Coach will be responsible for the coordination, evaluation, selection, and coaching of cheer and dance team members. The individual will organize, develop, and implement the GSU Cheerleading and Dance Program, which will include (but not limited to) the following: game week marketing efforts on campus, preparation, training, scheduling, administrative requirements, practices, public appearances, and overall supervision.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Organize and coordinate cheerleading practices, weekly marketing efforts, appearances for the cheerleading team and dance team.
- Recruitment of cheer and dance team prospects, tryouts and administrative paperwork.
- Solicit and raise funds with and on behalf of the spirit teams.
- Order and manage equipment inventory, which includes uniforms, practice, apparel, etc.
- Coordinate travel logistics for select away contests.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Bachelors degree and two years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience. Knowledge of AACCA safety and coaching guidelines are required.
