Join us. **Job Description** Join our dynamic AECOM team as a Project Engineer working on innovative projects with clients such as Space Florida, NASA, the Florida Department of Transportation, and the Federal Aviation Administration. We are seeking an experienced **Project Engineer** to join our team in Titusville/Melbourne, FL, designing and overseeing civil infrastructure projects. This role involves being the project engineer for spaceport civil site designs from conception through construction. Projects encompass a diverse range of infrastructure, including transportation systems, horizontal launch facilities, airfields, launch complexes, payload processing, buildings, utilities, and commodities. **Key Responsibilities:** + Provide limited technical direction to in-house staff and sub-consultants. + Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established procedures, including field investigations and research. + Perform specific and limited portions of broader assignments under the guidance of an experienced engineer + Coordinate and communicate project activities across departments and divisions + Guide entry-level engineers. + Assist in the development of presentations and report submittals. + Perform work in accordance with agreed-upon budgets and schedules. + Propose engineering approaches to solve new problems encountered. + Apply engineering principles to solve problems. + Conduct basic engineering design tasks (conceptual, layout, and detail) and assist with detailed design work. + Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests. **Qualifications** **Minimum:** + Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with four years of related civil engineering experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. + Experience in civil engineering design. + Valid U.S. Drivers License for visiting project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. + US Citizenship is required due to nature of work involved. **Preferred:** + Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Building Information Modeling (Revit), Bluebeam, or similar applications. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including SharePoint. + Experience in civil engineering design through construction phase + Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one within 12 months. **Additional Information** + Visa support is not an option for this position + Relocation is not an option for this position Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
