Embedded software engineer

Job Title: Software Engineer Job Description in Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), C/C++ development, and experience working on both embedded systems and application-level software

You will play a key role in updating the software stack to support a new hardware board, ensuring continued reliability and performance of our monitoring systems

This is a collaborative, international role working closely with engineering partners across the world

Responsibilities + Redesign and refactor existing embedded C/C++ code to support updated hardware platforms

+ Maintain and enhance BLE communication protocols within the system

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams across time zones to ensure seamless integration and deployment

+ Conduct thorough testing and validation of software updates in both lab and field environments

+ Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for deployed systems

+ Document software changes and maintain version control best practices

Essential Skills + Proficiency in C and C++ for embedded systems

+ Hands-on experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) development

+ Experience with both embedded firmware and application-level software

+ Familiarity with hardware/software integration and debugging tools

+ Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a distributed team environment

Additional Skills & Qualifications + 5-10 years of professional experience in software engineering

+ Knowledge of mixed signal, analog circuit, digital circuit, power supplies, and Altium

Work Environment We offer a work-life balance to our employees, with general working hours from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm

Our teams work together to ensure their chosen work schedules support our customers

The role is fully remote, with a team of 11 people

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr
