Job Description Driver II Expectations Daily tasks include, but are not limited to:
  • Complete Pre-Trip / Post trip Inspection check sheet for vehicle being used.
  • Ensure Vehicle is kept clean and does not run low on Fuel.
  • Drive to Local Fed Ex Station and Post Office every morning to pick up Packages / Mail.
  • Scan in/out packages and deliver packages / Mail to all locations while on Outside delivery runs.
  • Deliver any packages for the 202 North Dock as required throughout the day.
  • Perform the 3:30 Final sweep daily and take any accountable s to the Post office and get receipt.
  • Driving is not a full day worth of work so must cross train and assist in the other areas of operation such as Incoming and Outgoing mail and process Shipping both Domestic and Intl.
  • Perform duties and special requests as assigned by the manager
  • Handle time-sensitive material
  • . Help resolve customer concerns/issues.
  • Maintain accuracy of required reports, logs, and measurements
  • Ensure adherence to business guidelines, safety & security procedures at all time.
Required Qualifications:
  • Must have a valid Drivers License and be able to pass a CDL Drivers Physical.
  • Must be able to Drive a Van and Box Truck.
  • Ability to resolve customer concerns/issues
  • Maintain Chain of Custody when delivering packages.
  • Ability to resolve customer concerns/issues
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with customers and company personnel
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills required
  • Computer proficiency in email environments, MS Word/Excel
  • Able to Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Ability to adhere to companys policies and procedures as well as any site or DOT requirements.
Preferred Qualification:
  • Prior Driving experience.
  • Good people Skills
  • Requires limited supervision and is self-motivated.
