About the opportunity (What you will do)

This role will oversee strategic alignment and execute a growth plan to increase cloud adoption year-over-year exponentially (YoY) in the relevant cloud regions aligned with the customer programs mission.  The primary job duty is to build a partnership and serve as a client advocate for your customer, while positioning Oracle Cloud and technology to meet the customers mission.  You will also be responsible for managing your territory through the entire sales process, to include business development, prospecting, contract negotiations, and post-sales support. This role will also work with a cross-functional team that provides for capture and business development, solution specialists, consulting, and hardware. 

In this role, you will understand Dev/Sec/Ops models and be responsible for providing Oracle IaaS and PaaS solutions to mission-critical problems. Your success in this role will mean you can leverage the Oracle sales model to maximize revenue growth and increase market share. The successful candidate will build and expand relationships with business partners and system integrators and help identify mutual benefits from these partnerships. 

What you will bring (requirements)

  • 8+ years of field sales experience, including Cloud technology sales experience, or other relevant experience is required. Additionally, the ability to forecast, manage sales expenses, and successfully close new Oracle business is required.
  • Strong understanding of and experience working with the Federal Government, preferably the Army.
  • Business development, prospecting, and presentation skills, as well as excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities, are essential.
  • Candidates for consideration will bring a proven track record of consistently exceeding sales quotas and developing territories and accounts and will have experience serving as the primary point of contact for clients on all sales and related matters.
  • Knowledge of Oracle and/or knowledge of Oracles competitors is helpful. Must have the ability and willingness to learn Oracle Cloud technology rapidly.
  • Travel may be needed.
  • A bachelors degree or equivalent preferred.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $126,000 to $207,300 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 45/55.
