Tax Accountant (Hybrid Schedule)

**Job Description**

The Tax Accountant will assist in the preparation of ASC 740 tax provision. This role will be a key support player in calculating and preparing the income tax provision, as well as contributing to the income tax team thru completion of tax compliance returns, tax audits, and related reporting and documentation.

**Job Responsibilities**

? Assist with the calculation of the ASC 740 tax provision, including true ups, deferred taxes and income tax account reconciliations.

? Prepare federal and state income tax returns

? Provide support on federal IRS and state income tax audits

? Interact with wider finance team on tax related issues, including Treasury, Accounting and Legal.

? Work with Excel, Corptax and One Source Tax provision software to assemble data, do computations and generate federal and state tax returns, and tax provision reports

? Respond to State tax authority notices

? Prepare other types of tax returns such as estimated tax payments and extension requests.

? Ensure that records, returns and related reports comply with all federal, state, and local regulations.

? Assist in external financial audit process

? Research key issues and analysis of new tax legislation

**Qualifications**

? Bachlor?s degree is required

? CPA highly preferred

? 2+ years of tax compliance and/or tax accounting experience required.

Excellent organization skills, ability to work independently, and manage multiple tasks.

? Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

? Knowledge of tax software helpful;

o Excel, Corp tax compliance, and One Source Tax provision software preferred

? Understanding/training in income tax principles.

? Basic accounting concepts
