GENERAL FUNCTION: The Loan Document Specialist provides support and exceptional service for the loan documentation process including but not limited to Standard Practice Loans, Project Amendments and Disbursements, and Purchase Orders. Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensuring that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Banks risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure all of our loans are properly documented in accordance with the loan structure outlined by our credit team
  • Execute and help create processes that drive 100% documentation accuracy
  • Prepare full loan document packages for acquisition, refinance, expansion, equipment, and commercial real estate loans to meet closing dates
  • Draft purchase orders using our standard templates
  • Communicate daily with our closing, underwriting, and loan ops teams to drive efficiency and accuracy across our entire funding process
  • Collaborate with your teammates and partners to improve our documentation procedures and training materials
  • Identify and share opportunities to streamline our process and software
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • A love of collaboration and great teamwork
  • A positive attitude and ability to accept coaching and feedback
  • Exceptional attention to detail; you get that every period, comma, and capital letter matters!
  • The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment without constant oversight
  • The adaptability and flexibility needed to change direction and shift priorities quickly
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort with (or willingness to learn) basic software systems
