Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Transcriptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately transcribing audio recordings into written documents while adhering to established guidelines and standards. This role requires strong proficiency in English, excellent typing skills, and a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality output.

Duties

  • Transcribe audio files into clear and accurate written documents.
  • Edit transcripts for clarity, grammar, and adherence to the Chicago Manual Style.
  • Proofread completed transcripts to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Translate spoken content into written format while maintaining the original meaning and context.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information contained in audio files.

Skills

  • Proficient in typing with a high level of accuracy and speed.
  • Strong command of the English language, including grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Familiarity with the Chicago Manual Style for formatting documents.
  • Excellent editing skills to refine transcripts for clarity and readability.
  • Ability to proofread documents effectively to identify errors or inconsistencies.
  • Experience with transcription software or tools is a plus but not required.
