Accounts Receivable Representative

Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely collection of accounts. This role requires strong mathematical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles, particularly in accounts payable and corporate accounting. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will play a crucial role in supporting the financial health of our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Process and record incoming payments accurately and efficiently.
• Manage accounts receivable aging reports to ensure timely collections.
• Prepare journal entries related to accounts receivable transactions.
• Collaborate with the accounts payable team to reconcile discrepancies.
• Utilize financial software to maintain accurate records and generate reports.
• Negotiate payment plans with clients when necessary to facilitate collections.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements related to accounts receivable.
• Support the finance team with various technical accounting tasks as needed.

Experience:

• Proven experience in accounts receivable or related financial roles is preferred.
• Familiarity with governmental accounting practices is a plus.
• Strong math skills and attention to detail are essential for this position.
• Ability to communicate effectively and negotiate payment terms.

Key Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience working from home in a similar role.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally via email, video calls, and other virtual platforms.
• Must be able to manage time effectively and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Comfort with remote tools and software, such as Softphone, CRM system, Microsoft Teams, and Google Workspace.
• A dependable computer, headset for clear audio, and a camera for virtual meetings are essential to ensure effective communication and participation.
• Stable and high-speed internet for seamless communication and task execution.
• Must have a dedicated, quiet workspace to ensure optimal focus and productivity during work hours.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently while working remotely.
• Must be able to work 8 AM - 5 PM in your respective time zone.
• Comfortable adjusting to new tools, technologies, and processes in a fast-paced remote environment.
