Video Editor

Rocket Launch Studio is seeking a Freelance Video Editor to assist with a range of projects including internal videos, marketing content, and client work. This is a remote, contract-based position with flexible hours and the potential for more consistent work over time.

Were looking for someone who is creative, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. Whether youre just starting out or already have experience, youre encouraged to apply — as long as youre committed, organized, and passionate about editing.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit video content using Adobe Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve
• Organize footage: rename, sort, and manage files in folders
• Review raw footage and select the best clips
• Assemble cuts that align with a provided creative vision
• Add music, basic graphics, titles, and transitions as needed
• Incorporate feedback and deliver revisions promptly
• Color correction and grading (basic skills preferred, but not required)
• Collaborate remotely and communicate project updates clearly

What Were Looking For

• Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve
• Any level of experience — entry-level editors welcome
• Strong organizational skills and file management
• Willingness to receive feedback and grow creatively
• Basic understanding of storytelling and pacing in editing
• Bonus: After Effects and/or color grading experience

Requirements

• Reliable access to a computer capable of editing high-resolution footage
• Internet connection sufficient for downloading/uploading project files
• Ability to manage your own time and hit deadlines
• Must be open to working on different types of video content

Preferred (but not required)

• Experience with Adobe After Effects
• Experience with DaVinci Resolve for color grading
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Interest in long-term freelance collaboration

This is a freelance/contract position with potential for growth. Pay is fair and flexible based on experience and project scope.

We are local to Atlanta, Georgia and meet as a team weekly and as needed during the work day EST.
