Altus specializes in delivering comprehensive engineering, prototyping, testing, and production capabilities, including design, fabrication, assembly, and compliance support to our Government customers. The Inventory and Kitting worker will be responsible for organization of inventory (as required), ensuring efficient kitting operations, retrieving material to cut and conducting saw operations.

We are looking for an individual that can use their Inventory and Kitting Worker experience to add value and make a significant impact as an Inventory and Kitting Worker to NAVAIR for this opportunity.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Receive material requests from technicians and pick required material from inventory
• Operate horizontal band saw, hydraulic shear, belt sander, deburring machine, and Haberle aluminum cutting saw
• Saw cut material within drawing specifications
• Retrieve material used by production that requires cutting
• Measure and verify parts being cut
• Manage the kitting process to ensure timely and accurate assembly of kits.
• Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to understand kitting requirements.
• Ensure timely procurement of materials to support maintenance and kitting operations.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, kitting, and maintenance activities.
• Prepare and present reports on inventory levels, kitting efficiency, and maintenance performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

• Active U.S. DoD SECRET Security Clearance (Must have interim clearance before start date)
• Must possess a valid Maryland Driver’s License
• High School Diploma
• 1 years of related experience

Work Conditions:

Conditions will vary. Capable of working outdoors and occasionally from elevated work platforms with a fall protection harness and in temperatures ranging from 0-120. The position will include: 45% standing, 20% bending, 15% reaching, 5% sitting, 5% walking, and 10% lifting. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Overtime is a requirement of this position.
