- Oversee and manage long-term training projects (6-12+ months) identified by the Chief of Safety and Security (CSS) to enhance departmental and organizational effectiveness.
- Provide data-driven feedback to the CSS on training project outcomes and alignment with business objectives.
- Report and review project results with senior management, trainers, and department leaders.
- Recommend and implement improvements to training programs with a focus on continuous learning and development.
- Collaborate with department heads to assess training needs and priorities using the ADDIE Instructional Design Model.
- Identify workforce competency gaps and develop training solutions for employees, managers, and leadership.
- Assist the CSS and HR team in defining training objectives and developing both technical and soft skills programs.
- Identify and manage internal/external resources (materials, equipment, vendors) needed for training delivery.
- Support the development, assessment, and management of ongoing training projects.
- Ensure audiovisual and technical requirements are met for training sessions in coordination with IT.
- Continuously evaluate and refine existing training curricula to meet evolving organizational needs.
- Understand and interpret labor agreements, fostering effective relationships with union representatives.
- Prepare and present reports on training initiatives and outcomes.
- Maintain professionalism and diplomacy when handling sensitive or high-stakes situations.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Exhibit strategic thinking, initiative, and attention to detail in all training-related activities.
- Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

- Experience in developing and delivering training programs with a focus on workforce development.
- Background in instructional design, adult learning principles, and training facilitation preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and visualize data for training assessment and strategic planning.
- Ability to work with confidential information and maintain discretion.
- Willingness to comply with MATAs Drug and Alcohol Policy.
- Adherence to safety and health protocols.
- Availability for occasional evening or weekend work as needed.
- Frequent sitting and/or standing; occasional bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to lift, push, or move up to 20 lbs. as needed.
- Strong visual acuity for detailed tasks, data analysis, and computer-based work.
- Effective communication skills for in-person, phone, and written interactions.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment (computer, copier, calculator, fax, etc.).
- Tolerance for varied indoor environments with fluctuating temperatures and moderate noise levels.
