Job Title:

Peer and Family Advocate

Division/Program:

(Outpatient) TAY FSP

Starting Compensation:

17.46 - 19.00 USD Per Hour

Working Location:

Fresno, CA

Working Hours/Shift:

M - F 8am - 5pm

What you bring to SBHG:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Personal experience as a consumer in the child welfare, probation, or mental health systems.
  • One (1) year of full-time experience in a mental health role preferred.
  • Valid California Drivers License preferred
  • Must have lived experience, have been a consumer of behavioral healthcare or other social services, or supported a consumer of behavioral healthcare/social services as a family member or caregiver.

How you will make a difference:

  • Provide one-on-one support, mentoring, and role-modeling to clients, incorporating identified practices into services. Helps clients formulate problem-solving plans.
  • Provide one-on-one support, mentoring, and role-modeling to clients and/or family members.
  • Help clients navigate supports within behavioral health systems of care and community.
  • Advocates on behalf of clients and promotes self-advocacy.

  • Serves clients (ages 16-24)
  • Housing, Education, and Vocational Support
  • Individual and family Counseling
  • Medication management and support services
