Rancho Los Amigos Crisis Residential Treatment- Valley Star

Starting Compensation:

$19-$23

Working Location:

Downey, CA

Working Hours/Shift:

Tuesday-Saturday 10am-6:30pm

What you bring to SBHG (Qualifications):

  • High School diploma
  • Personal experience as a consumer in the child welfare, probation, or adult mental health systems and 6 months of experience working in a behavioral health field.
  • Personal experience as a consumer in the child welfare, probation, or adult mental health systems and 2 years of experience working in a behavioral health field.
  • Valid California Drivers License preferred

How you will make a difference (Job Overview):

This position has primary responsibility to provide services such as educating, advocating, coaching and role modeling to clients referred to the IHOT program. The Peer Mentor collaborates with other team members to ensure proper, client-centered services are provided.

Division/Program Overview:

16-bed facilities
Designed for adults with mental health challenges or a recent crisis who need intensive treatment.
24/7 programs as an alternative to urgent care or hospitalization.
Individuals can live on-site in a homelike setting for a short term while they receive counseling and learn basic living and interpersonal skills.
Able to receive physical and psychological evaluation, mental health, and case management services, in addition to assistance locating permanent housing.
