Training Specialist
ContactUs Communications based in Columbus, Ohio is expanding, and we have a need to fill in our Training Department.About The Training Specialist: The Training Specialist is responsible for developing and facilitating comprehensive learning and development solutions to meet the needs of new employees online and onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Provide new hire training in a virtual or onsite environment
- Manage all necessary resources to optimize trainee’s performance.
- Collaborate with operations management to support development needs within the business.
- Evaluate and develop programs and techniques that enhance
learner retention. - Provide feedback to update and report the performance of trainees or training issues.
- Effectively assess the training needs within the business to meet the needs of the organization.
- Support Operation & Quality Departments as needed.
- Research and keep up with organizations and vendors to complement the training opportunities.
- Maintain a level of creativity and progressiveness to training to maintain and improve standards.
- Improve the training program by obtaining feedback from participants regarding classroom instruction, course materials, and training resources.
- Must have School Diploma/GED required.
- Must have high speed internet and a dedicated landline telephone.
- Must have a dedicated quiet workspace.
- Must have open availability including weekends.
- Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Special Skills:
- Ability to teach and manage diverse classes of learners with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and levels of IT competency.
- Strong Oral Communication Skills- Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Listens and gets clarification.
- Strong Written Communication Skills - Writes professional, clear and concise correspondence with all levels of management using correct terminology
- Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
- Customer Service - Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs; Solicits customer feedback to improve service; Responds to requests for service and assistance.
- Teamwork - Contributes to building a positive team spirit.
- Decision-making, facilitating and process improvement.
- Takes responsibility for subordinates activities; Solicits and applies customer feedback (internal and external); Fosters quality focus in others; Improves processes, products, and services.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills to meet multiple priorities
- Ability to work successfully in rapid moving environment
- Willingness to present new ideas and suggestions to make the training experience better for everyone.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within the team as well as independently.
- Attendance/Punctuality - Consistently at work and on time; Ensures responsibilities are covered when absent.
- You cannot be on any active correctives at the time of application.
- When not training you will be expected to take calls as needed.
