Roles & Responsibilities:

• Leverages strong understanding of customer operations and challenges to focus and align key technology programs.
• Provides technical expertise to establish scope across portfolio of projects.
• Provides guidance on innovative design methods and tools to improve efficiency in design. Provides guidance on the best design solution to ensure design for manufacturability and maintainability.
• Provides business direction by taking into account field concerns and customer direction.
• Applies in-depth knowledge of applications to propose new platforms, systems and architectures.
• Experience modernizing team processes and standards to fit latest industry best practices would be beneficial to this role.
• Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability, or operations
• Provide technical leadership in developing solutions and/or devising new approaches to problems encountered
• Assist in identifying and organizing requirements, apply relevant usability procedures and principles.
• Conduct or participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, code and other artifacts.
• Provided consultation to EEs and Managers regarding PCBs and Matrix functions.
• Provide timely corrective actions on defects.
• Assign, direct and review work of technicians and provide guidance to engineers.
• Continually evaluate engineering approaches and risk.
• Contribute to design standards and support design re-use.
• Provide post production support.
• Provide technical guidance to engineer’s designers/drafters as required.

Required Skills (Technical Competency):

• Experience in designing of electrical integration in a complex engineering environment (Down hole Electronics)
• Analysis, design suggestion and design and develop and test the suggested replacement.
• Can exhibit prior experience performing PCB layout & multi-layer board design.
• Has experience assembling and testing PCBs and demonstrates understanding the impact of design decisions on PCB assembly and quality.
• Familiar with and designed for harsh condition such as high vibration, high temperature and in space limited/size minimizing packages.
• Demonstrated experience checking PCB layout designs/drawings for technical and process quality adherence.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

• Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.
• Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.
• Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
• Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
• Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM
• Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
